About Dr. Carlos Eduardo Loya-Valencia
Dr. Carlos Eduardo Loya-Valencia M.D. is board certified physician in Family Medicine with added qualifications in Sports Medicine. Dr. Loya was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and grew up in El Paso, Tx where he learned to call this community home. He completed a unique elite accelerated track program in medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he also completed his residency in Family Medicine and a Fellowship in Sports Medicine. He was recognized for being a physician mentor amongst his peers by the Society of Teachers in Family Medicine. He holds active membership status with the American Academy of Family Practice, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Loya is passionate about providing comprehensive and holistic acute and chronic care to the entire family. He believes in empowering his patients by involving them in the decision making of their care through providing education and ensuring clear communication. He is an advocate for proactive rather than reactive medicine, placing focus on preventative care to prevent disease onset and progression, while making himself available to adequately manage disease when required
